Michelle started Mama Bear Defense in Northern California in 2019. Her mission? Created what she wished existed: a community that valued connection over competition and brought together all types of people to not just learn about gun safety, but make some lasting friendships along the way. The firearms industry can be intimidating, but the right and need to protect yourself and your children should be understood and practiced by all! Michelle teaches gun safety and fundamentals to families in a welcoming, safe and low-key atmosphere and specializes in new shooters and those apprehensive about firearms.
Michelle is a certified instructor through the NRA, USCCA and the DOJ and also a certified Range Safety Officer. She is a trained Glock Armorer, a competitive pistol shooter through the USPSA, but most proud of being a mother to two young boys. When she's not on the range or in the classroom, you can find her hiking, paddle boarding, camping, hunting, taking care of her animals and enjoying time with her kids.
